Our 50-week cosmetology program prepares students with theoretical and hands-on training in hair styling, haircutting, hair coloring, natural hair, braiding, manicuring, and makeup. This programs prepares students to successfully pass the State Board Exam.

  • Attend an admissions open house to tour, bring in required documents, complete admissions paperwork, and schedule admissions interview. (See Admissions Process on the Admissions page for a step-by-step guide to the admissions process.)

    We recommend that all Cosmetology students complete the FAFSA at StudentAid.gov (assistance completing the FAFSA is available).

    Hitting the Start Your Journey button puts you on a prospective student list to be contacted for open enrollment and does not constitute an official application for enrollment.

  • The Cosmetology program is eligible for Federal Student Aid and various outside Scholarships & Grants. Available to those who qualify. Check under the Financial Aid tab for more information.

  • Upfront charges:

    $25 non-refundable application fee is due with the application.

    The $75 registration fee is due at Orientation.

    Book & Kit and Tuition charges:

    Cosmetology students who intend to pay all or part out-of-pocket should know that the Book & Kit and Tuition charges are prorated (divided proportionately) over 4 payment periods.

    Contact the Administration office to get a breakdown of the charges by payment period, or to set up a payment plan.

    Each payment period must be paid for students to progress through the next payment period in the program. We reserve the right to stop a student’s attendance or not send unpaid hours to the State of Michigan.

    Tuition must be paid in full by end of the program in order for students to successfully complete and graduate from the program.

  • In order to graduate, Cosmetology students must:

    • complete 1500 hours,

    • maintain at least a 75% on all exams,

    • complete all Minimum Practical Applications required by the State of Michigan, and

    • have met all financial obligations.

    Upon graduation, students will receive a Certificate.
