How to Apply

  • Schedule an admissions visit or attend an Open House and submit your application packet.

    Application Packet:

    • CHSC Application

    • Personal Assessment

    • A valid, government-issued photo ID (no birth certificates or military IDs, please!)

    • Proof of High School Education. Please bring one of the following:

      • High School diploma or transcripts with graduation date or equivalent certified/verified by the high school’s state or other recognized agency; or 

      • G.E.D. / HiSET Certificate

      • Home school transcripts & signed statement

    • Official Transcripts (for teach-out students)

    • Cosmetology License (for student instructors)

    *Creative Hair School of Cosmetology does not accept ability-to-benefit (ATB) students. In some cases,  college transcripts may be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma, after evaluation. Unfamiliar high school diplomas, equivalency exams, and other home school or online education certificates will be verified through an online search and/or phone calls to the specific institution(s). Foreign high school certificates must be evaluated by a credential evaluation agency that is qualified to translate documents into English and confirm the academic equivalence to a U.S. high school certificate. Students can go to www.naces.org/members or aice-eval.org/endorsed-members/ for a list of credential evaluation agencies. 

  • Application Fee: $25

    The application fee is non-refundable.

  • Once you have paid your application fee, you will be interviewed by Creative Hair School of Cosmetology staff to determine whether this is the right fit for you.

    After the interview, you will be notified if you have been accepted and scheduled for Orientation.

  • During Orientation, we will go over the school catalog and consumer information materials, so that you are familiar with Creative Hair School of Cosmetology's rules before starting.

    Orientation is mandatory before starting.

  • Registration Fee: $75

    If you are starting in the Esthetics, Manicuring, and Natural Hair programs, you will be asked to pay the Book & Kit fee at Orientation, so that materials can be ordered in advance. See Tuition & Fees for the amount.

  • Schedule an appointment with the Financial Aid Administrator to go over Financial Aid options or set up a payment plan with the school.

  • The Enrollment Agreement is your contract with the school. Once signed by you and a staff member, you are officially a Creative Hair student!

Natural Hair: Late students accepted until class is filled.
